We understand how important your hearing health is, so keeping all clients and staff safe continues to be our top priority. We kindly ask everyone to book an appointment before coming to our office and avoid walk-ins during the state of emergency order. This will help us control the amount of people in our office at a given time. Also, if possible, call our office once you have arrived so we can let you know if we are ready for you. Thank you for understanding.

Our hours of operation are the same Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm.

In previous communications we mentioned how we are operating our office from an infection control stance to social distancing, screening clients, staggering appointments, delivery of products, house calls, etc. In addition, we have recently installed plexiglass on Bonnie’s desk and hanging plexiglass in Tasos’ office to further protect our clients and our staff. We are also using face shields, masks, or both when we are in close proximity to others. We have set up a small table on both sides of our office door where you can use a kleenex to open it. Also we have hand sanitizer available. Please note: the front door of our building has a button available to electronically open that door.

We are focused on providing a safe and comfortable environment for staff and clients that require our services.

Please like us on Facebook, view some of our posts, and see some of the pictures of the plexiglass we have installed in the office.

We understand the importance of our services are and want to continue to stay open as much as possible to support everyone during these challenging times. In order to do this we are recommending that if you are not having any difficulty with your hearing aids to avoid any unnecessary visit to our office for the month of April.

Here are a few things we are doing: we are screening all clients prior to their appointments, only booking necessary appointments, staggering our appointments to minimize the amount of people in our office at one time, practicing social distancing, disinfecting all office areas regularly, disinfecting all equipment and work stations after each appointment, offering a hearing aid drop off box just inside our office door, mailing batteries, hearing aid supplies and offering house calls for those who are unable to come in and don’t have a family member or friend that can bring in their hearing aids. If a house call is required please contact our office to receive very important instructions that we will need to follow in order to social distance and keep everyone safe.

Our office hours may change again as we continue to follow government recommendations, best health practices and to keep all our clients and staff safe. We will continue to update everyone as soon as any changes are made. Please feel free to call our office before coming for any updates.

From your Oshawa Hearing Aid Clinic Team,

We thank you for understanding and wish all our clients and their family good health now and always.

There is no higher priority for Oshawa Hearing Aid Clinic than the health and well-being of our patients and employees. We are closely following guidance on COVID-19 (Coronavirus Disease 2019) from the Health Canada and the Government of Ontario to stay on top of all developments. We fully recognize that many of the population we serve are among the most vulnerable to diseases like COVID-19 and the flu.

In accordance with interim guidance from Health Canada, we are also taking the following additional measures to further strengthen our protocols and safeguard our patients’ health:

  • If you are feeling under the weather or are experiencing a fever, cough, or shortness of breath, we would ask that you call and reschedule your appointment so as not to put other patients at risk. You could also see if a healthy loved one could bring your hearing aids to the office for a cleaning. We recommend reviewing guidelines from Health Canada on preventing illness.
  • Dropping in can create a crowd in our waiting rooms. If an underlying condition or your age makes you more vulnerable to COVID-19, we urge you to avoid dropping in and instead call to schedule a time to get your hearing aids cleaned and checked. We will do our absolute best to get you on the schedule as soon as possible. You could also see if a healthy loved one could bring your hearing aids to the office for a cleaning.
  • We have instructed providers and staff to stay home if they are sick. If your provider becomes ill, we will ask them to stay home, and we sincerely apologize if this means we need to reschedule your appointment!
  • If you need additional accommodations, please don’t hesitate to call our office to discuss.

We understand the importance of hearing at your best, especially in this time, when communication is so critical. If there are any updates, we will post on our website and social media.

If you are having problems with your hearing aids and feel you cannot come in right away, please call and we’ll see whether we can help you over the phone. Please feel free to call with any questions — we are always happy to hear from our patients.
